The Carey is noted for its period Parlor and Wicker Room, which
reflect the ambiance of cottage life during the late 1880’s
Golden Age. The warm atmosphere of these rooms, plus the verandas
with their rocking chairs, have long made the Carey a place to make
new friends and renew old acquaintances.
Guests
at the Carey experience the charm of old Chautauqua while enjoying
modern amenities. All Carey rooms are individually decorated providing
a charming blend of period pieces with contemporary comfort.
All
rooms have private baths, air conditioning, heat, small refrigerators,
and microwave ovens. The galley rooms are more spacious and have
all of the afore mentioned, as well as a toaster, coffee maker,
and other items necessary for light meal preparation.
Sleeping
accommodations include your choice of king, queen, or twin beds,
for both single and double occupancy, which are subject to availability.
The Carey is a smoke free Inn with a quiet hours policy between
11:00pm and 7:00 am.
Telephone
Guests are welcome to use the Carey telephone for all local calls
and long distance calls of reasonable duration.

Guests are welcome to send and receive fax documents on the Carey

High
Speed Internet
Guests are welcome to use the High speed internet connection in
the wicker room.
Computer
& Printer
Guests are welcome to use the wicker room computer which has Microsoft
Word & Excel.
Group Gatherings
The Victorian ambience and central location of the Carey make it
the perfect venue for reunions, seminars, workshops and as a wedding
party congregating area. The porches, wicker room and formal parlor
provide the ideal setting for greeting old and meeting new friends.
Gathering packages are available at special rates.
Cancellation Policy
The best laid
plans can go awry, but as a small Inn the Carey does not have the
flexibility to handle last minute cancellations due to the short
duration of the Chautauqua season. Our policy is to make every effort
to re-rent you reserved and guaranteed time period. Upon the re-rental
of your accommodation we will happily make a refund.
